My character is a 'go with the flow' kinda of guy. A wash out trainer who didn't get far in when he reached the League and couldn't get work afterward. To save himself and to protect the people he loved he abandoned his family and pokemon to join Team Rocket so he wouldn't end up a bum. Started with a Zubat and worked his way up to what he's got. He's not exactly that important or interesting so the only kind of arch's I could see happening to him would be his pokemon finding him and joining his team later on in the story. These are the pokemon I would have added if I could have higher level pokemon on my team, so its just an idea for now until I pitch it to Mina. I got bored thinking about them so I fucked around in paint a drew a picture

Ah, okay. I'm planning on seeing this through to the end. If you frequent the facebook page, you'll see that I resigned as admin, but I do plan on keeping up with this. I'm having a lot of fun. Heck, it even opens up a new avenue with the story we've got going on. I've already laid the groundwork for a defection story. My character is almost bored of Team Rocket. He's staying primarily for the good of his underlings, and the team that he works most closely with has been taken from him, sent on a mission that he doesn't know anything about. If they were to die, then he would have ample reason to defect, maybe actively oppose Team Rocket. Not something that we need to do by any stretch of the imagination, and I'll talk to Mina about that if we decide to go that direction (mostly because we'll have to decide on a format where the bunch of you will be battling against my bugs at once, and I'll have to react to all of you guys). But I do think it could be a very cool storyline. My character also has trepidation with the "New" Team Rocket, mostly because not everyone has given up the old ways of stealing pokemon and experimenting on them so if your character is like minded and the story does go this way then mine might just have to join you... I think that'd work pretty well. When I go to interact with someone I make sure that I try to notice things about them, and what I noticed for you was your prowess in battle in a tournament that we supposedly had for the new grunts. Again, this is likely a ways down the road, after we've resolved the stones storyline at the very least, and likely even farther along than that. Still, kinda fun speculating about what could be done with the characters.

And you didn't say WHY you didn't make it in the pokemon league., or why you can't face your family. Was it some kind of injury? An accident that you or your pokemon caused that made you lose your confidence? Maybe a loved one was threatened by a rival who went to far, and you swore never to let it happen again? Don't answer that question right now, let the story lead the way, but your character has as much or more potential than any. After all, if you try to crowd too much character in to the beginning of the story (at least, if we're telling this tale in medias res like we seem to be) it gets boring and closes off too many possibilities. In particular, I'm noticing plenty of opportunities for some kind of redemption/reunion story. Heck, you could be as close as we have to a main character if the cards play out in a certain way.

He's right. Novick is the closest character we have to just an average joe Rocket. He has the most potential to expand, and choose who the character can or will grow into, especially if we have any unexpected events that could push him in one way or another.
The possibility of secession is good, as well. Perhaps there will be a kind of 'civil war' between groupings of characters.

True true, he definitely has allot of room for development. As we face new challenges he'll be involved to where he'll grow in that direction, it just his opportunities won't be as easy to come across as if he were a higher ranking agent. and I already thought of what happened to him and his family, just didn't wanna reveal everything here before I could mention it in the game. Its gonna be heavy man

Have any of you guys managed to get in contact with Mina? She hasn't logged on for a while, and she also hasn't responded to my messages on Facebook. Well, message, singular, actually.

Me neither. Though I'm sure she'll let us know what's going on the first chance she can get

So while I was thinking more about Novicks past I came across a Dan Avidan remix of a song, and I thought it could possibly pass as his theme. Now I'm kinda hellbent on finding something better, but what would you consider your characters theme if you were to pick one out? Just something that would play in the background when your character is revealed or if they were gonna do something cool.

Maybe because it's the holiday season, but I just love the idea of the Winter Palace, by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. https://www.youtube.com/watch

So I'm seeing allot of you guys pop in and out every once in awhile, and I'm pretty sure its to see if there are any updates...
I've been thinking to keep us all here for when we can move on with the game if we should make a sub story

I've been thinking to keep us all here for when we can move on with the game if we should make a sub story That's a good idea. What if we made a prologue arc? As in stories that give our character's backstory?

That wouldn't be much of an RP, but I don't see why each of us couldn't make a stub self-RP if we so chose to play out our own backstory. But considering we all just met ICly at or near the lakeside, it might be better just to make a separate thread for your own benefit if you want to write out your story.
If we would like to continue playing together, we could start a stub where perhaps they were sitting about a table chatting, or something to that extent. Perhaps even set it to a day or so after the Gyarados incident, since we seem to have most of that scene already plotted here in the OOC.

It would make sense if some admins asked each of our characters what exactly happened at the lake, then we could meet up with any other characters that are still at the base. Another idea which is separate from this would be a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon RP if anyone would be interested in that
